Meeting Date: October 6, 2024
Approximately 7 members attended the meeting at Bethel Church.
Thomas was unable to attend the meeting, so Allison Tinius commenced discussions.
Porch Fest – October 26
Allison Tinius reminded all that Porch Fest will be held again this year on October 26!
Time will be determined once she has the final list of yard hosts and performers.
Trick or Treating
Allison Tinius has sent out and will send again the sign-up sheet for those interested in
getting on the map as a house handing out candy. Joe Drake, pastor at Bethel, advised
that the church will be hosting a Trunk or Treat on October 31, and anyone interested in
getting involved is welcome. Allison will provide information/map/QR code of
neighborhood houses that signed up to give out greats so those attending the Trunk or
Treat at the church can trick or treat in the neighborhood if they would like.
Bethel Church Community Events
Joe Drake advised that a 2025 initiative for the church is to build a large pavilion on the
church property which can be used by all in the neighborhood.
Joe reminded all that:
- Those wishing to contact the church regarding special needs they may have or to
volunteer/donate, can call/text him on his cell phone at 615-406-9118 or contact
the church and leave a message at 615-262-3396. Leaving a message with the
church will result in a call back as soon as possible. - The October 19 “Hope Recovery Festival” from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. is still on
and will be in the church parking lot and grassy area. There will be games for
kids, vendors, music, etc. All are welcome. - If anyone knows of someone needing assistance in the neighborhood – maybe
needing a care basket, lawn mowed, have financial issues, new baby, etc., the
church can assist. Contact the church or Joe with information. - The next Date Nights will be October 11, November 8, December 6 and January. Parents can drop off their children to enjoy time to themselves from 6-9 p.m. The volunteers that watch the children are background checked, and know CPR. It is free. If interested, you must sign up beforehand so that the church can have enough volunteers to watch the children. https://www.bethelnaz.church/date-nite

Miscellaneous
- Possibility of posting signs throughout the neighborhood regarding Association
events since some may not be on the Facebook page or in the email list. - Accepting requests to become members of the Association Facebook page.
Jeannie, as Admin for the page, has had some questions of who should be
accepted. As of right now, the only criteria question asked, is what street do you
live on. Someone could really mention any street in the neighborhood. It was
suggested that additional questions should be asked such as requesting an
email address so they can get on the Association email list, have them agree to
rules regarding postings on the page (no commercial advertisements, etc.) to
make sure those that are requesting to be members really want to be part of the
Association. The Facebook page is truly for those specific issues our neighbors
have regarding the neighborhood. - If interested in helping lead and organize a Neighborhood Clean-Up Day (collect garbage, etc.) let us know by emailing [email protected]
