Next Meeting/Bonsai Discussion
Curt and Susan Hagenau are excited to host the next meeting on June 8, 2025 from 5-
7 p.m. at their home at 4506 Gra Mar. This year is the 50 th anniversary of Bonsai Clubs
and they will host a discussion of Bonsais and provide light refreshments. Come and
enjoy neighborhood fellowship and learn about these interesting trees and see the 35-
40 trees they have cultivated! (Note: The Frist Center is hosting the Bonsai Clubs 50 th
anniversary, May 17-18)

Signs about the Neighborhood Association
Allison was unable to attend the meeting, but Thomas will check with her to see the
status of signs placed about the neighborhood noting the Association’s website, etc.

Property Valuations
If you want to challenge the new tax property valuation for your home, you will have to
go through the formal review process with Metro, as the informal review process date
has passed.

Neighborhood Dining Out
Thomas will “host” a dining out night at Vega on Thursday, May 15. He will post the
information on the website’s calendar and send an email out. Join your neighbors for a
nice dinner and get together.

Walking the Neighborhood
Dates neighbors will be walking around the neighborhood will be posted on the
website’s calendar. Join your neighbors for a fun walk through our beautiful
neighborhood.

Proposed Neighborhood Block Party
Pastor Joe proposed a summer block party at the church for the neighborhood. Once
dates and plans are finalized, we will get the word out!

Reminders
Pastor Joe reminded everyone that the church is a safe place if there are tornadoes. Go
to the blue doors at the church and there are members of the Association that have
keys to let you in.

Tuesday Night Gym Nights
Pastor Joe advised that during the summer, after June 10, the church can be used on
Tuesday nights for neighborhood members to play pickle ball, volleyball, basketball, etc.

Different Meeting Place for June!
As noted above, the Hagenaus will host the next meeting on June 8, 2025 from 5-7
p.m. at their home at 4506 Gra Mar. Learn about Bonsais and enjoy fellowship with
your neighbors. See you then!
